Laurina Lodge residents were recently entertained by a visit from local school children.
The children sang three songs for the residents and then read their books and readers. The residents were pleased to explain what it was like going to school in their day with the youngsters asking lots of questions.
Most residents attended the activity and were still talking about it days later. “See you next time mate,” was the farewell from one resident to his young friend.
Other schools have also visited recently with several planning to return in December for Christmas carol singing.
