PJ Day at CGHS

Lots of CGHS staff at the Sale campus came to work in their pyjamas last week but kit was all for a good cause.

They were raising awareness of the Pyjama Foundation by celebrating National Pyjama Day and wearing pyjamas to work for a small coin donation.

The CGHS Kitchen, with the support from Mark Brennan and David Askew and their team, prepared and sold Tacos which were such a big hit – with a total of 151 tacos being sold. For each Taco sold, $1 was donated back to the Pyjama Foundation.

Graduate Nurse Coordiinator with Learning Services, Janelle Stewart said it was great to see lots of smiles and camaraderie in the cafeteria.

“With the money raised from National Pyjama Day at CGHS,  the Pyjama Foundation can train Pyjama Angels,” Janelle said. “Every bit counts.”

Pyjama Angels provides foster children with a stable, positive role model and help these children with their skills in reading, writing and arithmetic skills.
